I'm a freelance writer currently based in East Africa. As a true ENFP, I have a very broad range of interests, so I write about a bunch of different things, from politics and development to music, food and art. What drives me is an unbridled curiosity about the world, the pursuit for uncertainty and adventure, and the love for other people and their stories.
Through my writing I hope to hold the powerful to account, but also to tell the stories of the exceptional people I meet along the way and remind the world that it is not all doom and gloom out there. Quite the opposite.
I have written for El Pais, Bandcamp, Songlines, New Internationalist, OkayAfrica, Inter Press Service, Humanosphere, Positive News, Narratively, Vinyl Factory, Selamta Magazine (Ethiopian Airlines), and One Campaign among others.
Born in Rome to an Italian dad and English mum, I studied International Politics at Aberystwyth University, which I still believe is one of the best places on earth (no joke).
